Carmel Valley III: visitors

Grandpa Mike and Uncle Mike visited for a few days.

Then Tina visited from her new family in San Francisco! We went hiking in Pt. Lobos and saw the monarchs in Pacific Grove.

Insisted on hiking barefoot for most of the hike. Also made cat sounds.

 Daddy's cousin and her family came down. Maia is 4.5 years old, and Nolan is 6 weeks older than Ava. They had an awesome time playing together (and holding hands on a hike).

We had to tearfully bid farewell to Tina, who has moved on to another family in San Francisco. Ava and Mommy are spending the remainder of the year with Ava's grandparents in CA, starting with Ima in Carmel Valley. Tina was on our flight to CA, a few seats behind us on the first plane, and got this great photo of Ava playing with the little boy behind us:

Ima's two goats (Isabel and Charisma) are big hits.

We visited nearby Earthbound Farm twice, the second time for their Fall Festival, which included the corn box (instead of a sandbox).
