Grass Valley Christmas

Ava's caregiving of her baby dolls becomes ever more complex.

Enjoying the end of the snow.

The garden swing is a big hit.

Decorating the tree with Grandpa.

Grandma's mirror.

Kitchen helper.

Rhino's outing.

The moss is brought to justice.

Daddy went duck hunting.

Rock climbing on the fireplace.

Christmas Eve. Turtle from Chris is a huge hit.

Keeping Turtle blanketed became immediately important.

Christmas morning.

She immediately knew what to do with her new tea set.

The butterfly stickers were a huge hit.

Christmas day walk around Grandpa's house. Ava and Daddy found a deer trail in the woods, and Ava promptly plopped down and declared that she was going to wait for the deer. Daddy explained that it might take a very long time for the deer to come.

Stick.

Garden!

Harvesting an egg from the chicken coop. Ava likes to take these eggs inside immediately and help cook them.

Ava was very curious about the soil that the chickens uncovered with their scratching. Convinced that the soil itself must be the object of their scratching, she offered some of it to them.

Helping groom the dog.

On to Grass Valley

After Thanksgiving we bid Carmel Valley a fond farewell and headed up into the mountains to stay with Grandpa Lee and Grandma Joanne in Grass Valley.

Thanksgiving day:

 Wild hair.

A bird that hit the window did not die in total vain. It turned into an ornithology lesson.

Thanksgiving dinner.

Grass Valley. Looking for the Christmas tree to cut.

Kale in the garden that we planted last summer.
