Here are a few photos that Ines and I took this weekend when we attended Uncle Mike and Aunt Heidi's wedding near Asheville, NC. Ava was the flower girl. I didn't end up taking that many pictures, but I'll put up more when we get the wedding photographer's pictures.

Arrival and rehearsal day.

Dear friend Currie is holding a sleeping Rosemary here.

Note the pretty tan sash was gone from her dress shortly after the ceremony. So were the shoes.

The day after and drive home.

Back at home, photos from Ines of Ava at the zoo, and Rosemary making happy faces.

10 minutes before her birthday party started...

...Ava curled herself up on the couch and fell asleep, where she stayed or an hour while the party started around her. Was a success nonetheless.

Ava turned 3 on Friday. We'll have her party this coming weekend, but she got to open some presents, and we sang happy birthday over ice cream. One of the presents she opened was the Princess Anna (from Frozen) outfit from Grandma and Grandpa. Huge hit. We've convinced her to not sleep in it or wear it to preschool, which she also began attending last Thursday, just for 2 mornings a week.

Playing with the new castle, also from Grandma and Grandpa.

Even princesses have to eat.

Frist day of preschool last week, with parents staying.

At the botanic garden.

First day of preschool this week, without parents staying. Apparently she cried for 10 minutes but soon became interested in play-doh and not in crying.

Sleeping, not taking a moment.

Rosemary loves sucking her thumb. It's insanely cute.

Jungle joy!

Diaper pad joy!

Rosemary staring at Ava is a common sight:

More diaper pad conversations with Rosemary.

The baby jungle mat is a hit for short periods. Looking at smiling faces is an even bigger hit.

We joined Grace and Kris for camping at a state park this past weekend. Both Ava and Rosemary enjoyed the tent and our hike. Grace and Kris's dog Hero lived up to his name, as he is very patient with Ava and entertained her for most of the camping trip.
