Ava's first Nor'easter

Skeptical and sleepy in the pink snow monster suit (Daddy's label of the awesome bunting from Grandma Joanne).  Despite what it looks like, the venture out into the storm lasted about 45 seconds.  Ava, not surprisingly, didn't appreciate the sleet on her face.

Hanging out with Dad

Reading the bird book

Looking outward

Midwives

Midwife Pam and her midwife-in-training assistant Allison.  They delivered Ava.  This is at their office for my final postpartum check-up.  Love them!

Back from bird hunting in Saskatchewan

Processing snow geese

Locally Grown

Fantastic onesie from Lill.  Ava responds to Daddy's silly faces.  Practicing mimicking smiles and sticking out the tongue.  Happy girl.

Ava's first mushroom foray

Institute Woods, with Mommy, Daddy and Petra.  Lots of oyster mushrooms, a few puffballs and 2 bouquets of maitake (hen of the woods).  Also first vertical nursing in the sling while Mommy is walking experience--moderately successful.
