Ava is reading The Fantastic Mr. Fox in class this week. She had to construct a fox habitat as an ancillary assignment. She did a great job! Here's a link to her video explaining her fox habitat: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZmovbsVRnx1cvVRK9. She also drew a picture of a fox bringing prey back to her den.

Seed dispersal experiment for Ava and her classmate. They made and tested model seed dispersal mechanisms. Sprig was a vector test subject for tape balls and velcro.

Wet felt fruit and seed models: plum (with pit and seed), acorn

Showing their plums cut open to see two fruit layers: the outer sweet, soft layer, and the inner hard pit layer. The seed is inside the pit.

Examining a real seed pod.
