Ava has been needle felting. The bird is of her own design, the third one she has made. She and I watched a video to see how to make the nest and egg. Ava did all the work on those herself, including attaching the feathers from our chickens and the alder cones from local woods. These images of these pieces will be included in the school district-wide student art show this year. Ava's fox drawing was included last year. In normal years the physical pieces are displayed downtown at the Anchorage Museum through March. This year the show is virtual, with images displayed on large screens at the museum instead. Most students only ever get into the show once. Only 4-5 student pieces from Ava's K-6 school will be included in the show, which is K-12. It's a big honor.

It's been too cold to take many pictures lately. Fortunately Rosemary has finally embraced the concept of layering.

Ready for Junior Nordic practice last night, waiting for her sister to get her gear on.
