Homeschool class about pollination at the Alaska Botanical Garden. They were setting up for their December lights walk, including this cool train set in the green house. We visited the light event later.
Thanksgiving Day mandatory outdoor family fun, their favorite spot at a local trailhead. Rosemary tried on some snowshoes before they played in their usual hemlock grove. A beautiful snowy day.
Octopus hat from Ima.
Felting Christmas ornaments for gifts.
First day of Jr. Nordic. Ava had fun. Both kids matriculated to the next level of skiing groups (Ava is now a Hawk, the fastest group of skiers, and Rosemary moved up from Polar Cubs to Otters, where she will begin skate skiing).
Botanical Garden light event with friends.
Homeschool math. She loves assembling and using the multiplication table blocks.
In the woods by the school on the way to pick up Ava. She ran back to tell me that she had just seen a hare. "What color?" I asked. "White!"
The girls got to make special Christmas treats with a dear friend.
We're progressing with knitting. We learned casting off, so she finished her first washcloth.
