Homemade doughnuts

Cool hike on Turnagain Arm trail. It had all the highlights: waterfall by the trailhead, close encounters with three Dall sheep, a cool cave, and early emergent plants. This particular trailhead has fairly unique vegetation for the Chugach, including extensive beds of kinnikinnick. When we hit the first patch of fit, Rosemary tossed herself down on it and declared: "I'm basking!" This led to the girls playing "alpine nature dragon" in the kinnikinnick patches.

Melting

Ava planted a radish seed in her pinch pot. It's probably too small a vessel.

These dragon pictures from Ava are a few months old, inspired by the Wings of Fire book series, which she has devoured while at home.

Easter pre-game

They conquered.

Easter hike at the bowl with the snow tunnel and hemlock jungle gym.

Nobody does disgruntled like Ava.

She came down to tell me something important and then realized I was taking a picture of her.
