Some ice on the creek by the schoolyard before Thanksgiving.

There was a dramatic wind and icy rain storm the night before Thanksgiving, into that morning. The power went out until 1pm Thanksgiving afternoon. Thanksgiving morning the kids met some friends at a covered ice rink that is asphalt rink at the moment, rode bikes.

Saturday went up to Hatcher's Pass to cross-country ski and sled.

A storm came in late afternoon while Mommy was skiing the trail through the mine site.

Kids in the snow, people sledding up the hill.

We spent the long weekend in Girdwood.

Salt & pepper shaker battles (cow vs orca)

We hiked on the Crow Pass trail for the first time, hiked up to some old mine ruins on the way to the pass.

The dog found a ball.

Hemlock tree bench.

Spruce seedlings up high (treeline marching up)

The dog's ball got really gross.

We got our first big snowfall in town this past weekend. We put skis on for the first time this season and hit the local trails. Ava wouldn't turn around and let me take her picture.

Rosemary did a great job. Skied 1.5 miles with minimal complaining.

Whatever this is.

Daddy took Ava to the range for the first and introduced the .22. She had a great time and shot well.

Ava drew a cool picture of fishing. Rosemary modified it.
