The girls accompanied Mommy to Becca's wedding in Snoqualmie, WA. We stayed at Dara's in Seattle.

Dara's drums, post bath. Hopefully not a preview of college.
Becca's bachelorette party. Ava presented her with a flower "sword." Ava is eating a cookie that is shaped like what she called a "dog bone." We didn't correct her.
Ava hung out in the garden for most of the party of her own volition.
Rosemary and Ava both got swag, including a new hat from Grace
And sunglasses
Seattle zoo, with Ima.
This is the African Savanna exhibit, with giraffes, gazelles, zebras, some kind of monkey and some other ungulates out of frame. In the foreground is a pond, with 3 mallards in it. Guess which things our girls, daughters of a waterfowl biologist, spent most of their time looking at?
Rosemary is defending this play structure from other children. Ava is a lemur sunning itself with its arms out.
Pig sty, stinky.
Rosemary engaged with the petting zoo.
Rehearsal picnic, Snoqualmie. Cool suspension bridge over the Snoqualmie River.
We hadn't seen Grace since we moved from Maryland! The girls were so very excited to see her.
Wedding, farm fabulous.

Back home, new bunkbed = new fun that was promptly banned and new terrors for the parents. Also new dress up outfit. We asked Rosemary if she was excited about her new big girl bed (lower bunk). She said "No. Top," while pointing up to Ava's upper bunk.
Backpacking trip, Carter Lake near Moose Pass, Kenai Peninsula, July 1st-2nd.
They normally have a pretty late bed time, but when it's light out nearly all night while camping, that makes it even more challenging. This was a failed attempt at getting them to sleep at 9:15. It was really buggy--they're looking at bugs.
Ava's outfit at 10:30 pm
Waking up
Inspecting mosquitos and rain outside the tent
Listening to loons, foggy morning
Building a "gnome house" at our campsite while Mommy and Daddy packed up
Crossing a stream on the way back
Checking out the Kenai River
Rosemary samples kale from the garden
Rosemary turns 2 tomorrow! Opening a present from Ima.
