Early December before we went to Hawaii:

The one photo I have --I think--of all four of us from this year (before Hawaii). We needed one for the Christmas card. The kids' smiles are much nicer in the other photos of them that I put on the card.

We got a lot of snow. 

The kids excavated a snow cave on our back deck.

We took our first ever vacation (i.e. travel unrelated to visiting family) Dec. 18-29, to Kauai. 

A bunch of snow melted while we were gone, but there was still enough to enjoy upon our return.

Hike with friends, including our music teacher.

Ice skating on a local lake (hot mopped)
