Seattle and Snoqualmie trip

Ava and I popped up to Seattle and Snoqualmie for the first week of the year before heading back to MD. Many thanks to the Pitcher-Hall family for taking such good care of us, to Dara and Mark and the kids for great trip to the zoo and dinner, and to Becky and Leone for a lovely visit!

Hike near Empire Mine a few days before leaving CA.

New Year's Day hike, Snoqualmie, WA. Ava walked 40% of it and spent the remainder in her pack on Becca's back (thanks, Becca!).

The bag of dried bananas that saved the trip.

See that rooster? It's the dad of our chickens at our house in MD, which originated in this chicken run on the Pitcher-Hall farm.

Peek-a-boo is still fun. Especially with Heidi.

Walking with a friend on the farm.

Somehow, she instantly knew that this is a phone.

Cool multi-trunk tree at the dog park, with Patti.

Seward Park, Seattle. Helping Becky and Leone walk Haines.

Ava ordered Leone to "Go hide" (so that Ava could find her).

This is early bedtime. Nice work, Leone!

In the play area at the Seattle Zoo.

Tropical house aviary.

 Watercolors at Becca's house.

Airport layover buddy.
