Beautiful fall evening for the elementary cross country running jamboree. Ava ran her mile race in 8 minutes.
Fall colors are starting at Windy Point last weekend. The kids had fun, I swear. I went there to pick rosehips. We got close to three Dall sheep (two ewes and a lamb).
An afternoon hike with Ava and a few other big girls, local trailhead, lots of playing in hemlocks. Have a look at that termination dust (first snowfall of the season) on the high peak.

Shakeout first voyage in our new 16-foot-long raft. We took it down a short stretch of the Kenai River, put in past Cooper Landing.
Coming home from school a few weeks ago, tree just starting to turn.
