Hike up Little O'Malley Peak with friends

We saw the Barbie movie. 

We did an amazing backpacking trip with three other families, the Tutka Backdoor route near Seldovia. We took a float plane from Homer to Taylor Bay, hiked for 4 days to Jakalof Bay, then took a water taxi back to Homer. All the kids on the trip were super tough. These were the longest, hardest hiking days the kids have ever done. Rosemary at age 9 was the youngest. The total mileage was around 32 miles, and we did a total of around 9,500 feet of elevation gain. 

When we came upon this fellow we were very glad that we had not brought the dogs along on this trip.

There were some great snowfields coming down from Tutka Pass.
